Perl Workshop Essentials
„A brief story of Perl events which happen in the world, and why it is useful to be at a Perl event.“

Jeremiah Foster (‎jeremiah‎), Gothenburg,
Creating Perl Packages for Debian – the Gory Details
„Debian serves as a sort of ‘reference’ implementation of perl. Perl points to debian as an example of how to package perl for distribution. I’ll show how one can package perl programs from CPAN and all the important details that go a long with packaging. This allows perl programmers to introduce there software to debian and ubuntu users and reach a larger audience.“

Building Web 2 Apps with Perl
„This talk will cover what talks you have in Perl to facilitate the development of Web 2.0 applications.
* Pure text
* Generating JavaScript structures
* JSON “

There’s More Than One Way To Dispatch It‎:
Multiple dispatch allows you to write many subroutines or methods with the same name, but taking a different number of or different types of parameters. In this talk I will look at multiple dispatch in Perl 6, including:
* How to write multi dispatch subs
* Arity based dispatch
* Basic type-based dispatch
* Candidate sorting – how the winner is chosen in a more complex type hierarchy
* Using subset types to do multiple dispatch on values
* Handling ambiguity: the ‘is default’ trait and using a proto as a fallback
* The .?, .+ and .* operators
All illustrated with example code, which runs today in Rakudo.

и

The Perl 6 Express
This talk digs straight into the practicalities of writing Perl 6: getting yourself a build to play with and then starting to write code. Topics covered will include:
* How to obtain and build the latest Rakudo Perl 6
* Variables
* Basic control flow (conditionals and loops)
* Chained comparisons
* Basic use of junctions
* Subroutines, and the new signature syntax
* Writing classes using attributes, methods and inheritance
* Regexes and grammars
* Basic I/O“
